and at speed, the cars design does a very good job of drawing hot air out from the engine bay. It's when you slow down and all that heat just sits there. The hood on our Z's is sealed on 2 sides (front and back) to increase aero efficiency and increase downforce at speed.
I agree, when you come to a stop.. there is a ton of heat in the engine bay. But at speed, i don't see how it's possible for it to be that hot.
